Companion
- CCIGBP
Senior membership grade – by invitation of the executive council only. Intended to honour
major contributions to global trading and commercial operations. Grade also available to anyone who, in the opinion of the
world council has given considerable service to the institute.
Fellow – FCIGBP
Candidates for fellowship grade should possess any three out of the following five requirements:
v Doctoral degree from a recognised
institution
v Companion or fellow grade membership
of a chartered professional body or equivalent
v Fifteen or more years, verifiable,
senior management/board level experience
v Fifteen or more years, verifiable,
senior level experience as a lecturer at a recognised institution
v At least ten published books/articles
on a business topic
MEMBER – MCIGBP
Candidates for membership grade should possess any three out of the following five requirements:
v masters degree
from a recognised institution
v member grade membership of a chartered
professional body or equivalent
v ten or more years, verifiable, senior
management/board level experience
v ten or more
years, verifiable, senior level experience as a lecturer at a recognised institution
v At least five published books/articles
on a business topic
ASSOCIATE – ACIGBP
Candidates for membership grade should possess any three out of the following five requirements:
v bachelors degree from a recognised
institution
v associate grade membership of a
chartered professional body or equivalent
v five or more years, verifiable,
senior management/board level experience
v five or more years, verifiable,
senior level experience as a lecturer at a recognised institution
v At least three published books/articles
on a business topic
CHARTERED GLOBAL BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL - GGBP
A stand alone designation. Awarded to any candidate for any grade of institute membership meeting
four or more of the stated criteria. To retain chartered status members will be expected to undertake annual cpd – achieving
a minimum of 50 points per year
INSTITUTE CPD SCHEME
Structured activity – attending meetings/study for a formal qualification either classroom
or online/lecturing - 3 points per
hour
Unstructured activity – writing articles/theses or books on a business topic. Reading
relevant material – 1 point per hour
Members are responsible for maintaining their cpd record. When renewing the chartered designation
after the first year of it being awarded members will be asked to self certify that they have fulfilled their personal requirement
during the previous twelve months. The institute retains the right to ask to see a members cpd record/supporting evidence
at any time without notice. If a member has incorrectly self certified without valid cause then the institute retains the
right to terminate that members membership/designation

Once the membership awarding committee has made its decision on the application (their decision
will be final and no reason needs to be given in the event of an application being refused) we will invoice you for the relevant
fees
